Last year I set out to find an organisation that I felt I could rely on to pass on 100% of my donation to support a child in need in a developing country. My search led me to SOS Children's Villages, which is the world's largest orphan charity.  I went on to sponsor a number of children in various parts of the developing world, through SOS.

SOS Children's Villages provides a family for life for children who have lost their parents through war, famine, disease and poverty. Over 70,000 orphaned and abandoned children are cared for by SOS mums in clusters of family homes in 475 of their unique Children's Villages in 123 countries worldwide. Thousands more children benefit from SOS Children's outreach support which includes education, vocational training, medical care and community development programmes. SOS Children also provides emergency relief in situations of crisis and disaster, and continues to support families in earthquake and tsunami-affected countries.

Whilst in the Gambia in March, I visited a school run by SOS Children's Villages.  I was amazed by the high standard of facilities and opportunites they were able to offer the local children.

We are delighted to be partnering SOS Children's Villages! See SOS's News and Partners pages.
